First. And Second.
Today was Jamie's first gymnastics meet.
She's worked hard for this, a year of training 11-14 hours a week, a summer of four-day-a-week practices. She could have come in last place in every rotation, and I wouldn't have been a bit less proud of her than I am.
She didn't come in last.
She definitely has room for improvement. I think nerves got to her a bit, especially at the beginning, and it didn't help to start on the beam, the least forgiving apparatus.
In her age group, she got 2nd place on floor.
She didn't come in first.
But my heart swells and my eyes well and I can't imagine that there's a feeling that could outdo this one.
You amaze me every day, Bunny. I love you!
