She messes with mine every day
Jamie asked me to read her a book this evening, and I told her that I would read it for bedtime instead.
"Mama, you're messing up my mind!"

I got an email from my host the other day, saying that due to the downtime I experienced, I would receive a month's credit toward my bill.
That was great, until they used it as an excuse to be down for a couple more days.
And now, I'm in Maryland with my girls, visiting family and friends, so don't expect to hear too much outta me until August. Assuming by then I still remember I have a blog!

Speaking of the house thing...
That foreclosure house we made an offer on? They dropped the price below their lowest counter offer a week or so ago. When I saw that, I was so pissed I wanted to hunt the bank down and kill it.
Now we're torn between trying for the house again now and trying to get out of our lease, and just staying put like we intended in the first place, to see what happens with the job/move thing. Still, as much as I don't want to move again ALREADY, I still kinda want to move someplace we own and can feel more permanent.
It also might matter why they dropped the price. Did they finally realize they were being unreasonable Did someone get an inspection that listed the things we saw wrong with the house and so they're just acknowledging them? Or did someone get an inspection that showed worse problems, like foundation issues? We walked by a couple weeks ago, and they've cleaned the place, but closed all the blinds, so I can't see how pretty it is anymore.
Also, I was hoping they wouldn't wise up and drop the price til next year, so we could have another chance at it when we had more information about the permanence of our stay here.
So to sum up both of our reactions to this new: FUCKERS!

Time will tell
Have you ever spent a really long time making a decision, weighing all the consequences, and then as soon as you implement your decision, realize you may have made a huge mistake?

One day I'll be arrested for the thoughts I have about Verizon install techs
Well, my host has apparently been down for at least a full day, maybe longer. It was hard to tell with my own spotty internet access. Both problems appear to be solved, though!

Stumpin' for the MAN
So a while back, I signed on with this company called BzzAgent. They send you stuff, or coupons for stuff, and you try it out out and then talk about it.I seem to sign up for something every time we move, so I pretty much lose the motivation to really talk about it. This time, however, the product is worth the effort.
The product: al fresco all natural chicken sausages. So far, we've tried the sun-dried tomato & basil (yum) and the sweet apple (YUM!) My husband had no idea they were made with chicken! Both flavors were low in fat; in fact, no fat oozed out of them during cooking, even when the casings were pierced or I sliced the sausage before I cooked it. The sausage wasn't dry, though like you might expect from a low-fat/poultry product.
We ate the tomato & basil flavor for lunch, and both of my girls chowed down. My older daughter isn't picky, but my younger one is notorious. Yet they BOTH asked for seconds! My older daughter even chose to have the sausage a second time as leftovers.
The sweet apple flavor was my favorite, but then, I love sweet. We ate it for breakfast, and it paired nicely with pancakes for Father's Day.
The only downside was the casing. I'm not sure if it was because it was a natural casing, but it was rather tough. I don't mind a little snap to my cased meats, but this was a little much.
All in all, I would definately buy this again, even without coupons.

You know you have a great friend when she offers to FedEx her cellphone-that-works-as-a modem to you so you don't have to be internet free for two weeks.
